Community Health Assessment 2022-2023

Western Health initiated a new Community Health Assessment (CHA) process in June 2022, starting with the CHA Survey. The Western Health CHA Survey was used to collect quantitative and qualitative data from residents of the region about where they find health-related information, where they go for care, satisfaction with health care services, community concerns, satisfaction with health and wellness resources, and health behaviors. The information gathered from this survey provides an understanding of the current health status and needs of the residents in the Western region. As Western Health transitions to one provincial health authority, the results of the survey will be used to determine priorities, help plan programs and services, and inform future strategic planning.

Community Health Needs and Resources Assessment (CHNRA) - 2016-18

In January 2016, Western Health initiated a Community Health Needs and Resources Assessment (CHNRA). The results of this assessment will be used to identify health related issues and resources in our region and to help us plan our programs and services. The components of the CHNRA include a community health survey, focus groups, health status statistics, and community resource listings.
